چکیده

Background and Objectives: This study aimed to determine the effects of tourniquet use complications total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in patients without comorbidities investigate whether application can be employed adverse assess its impact on occurrence any complications. Materials Methods: A 106 who underwent unilateral TKA were divided randomly into two groups according a was used during surgery or not. Patients with (except arterial hypertension) excluded from study. Knee Injury Osteoarthritis Outcome Score, joint range motion, visual analog scale (VAS) score, blood loss after surgery, postoperative analgesic consumption, side main factors evaluated Results: In group, where VAS scores higher, analgesics also significantly higher. While there no statistically significant difference between non-tourniquet groups, occult losses higher group. The differences all other parameters very small not significant. Conclusions: findings current suggest that when are thoroughly documented clarified prior tourniquets should applied selectively individuals pre-existing health conditions.
